Turnaround Day

Image The cleaners work hard to ensure that the boats are fully cleaned inside. All beds are made up to your specified requirements.Image

As well as the inside of the boats being cleaned, you can see here that Ryan is also hard at work cleaning the exterior.

Stuart has to make sure all of the cruisers are fully serviced when they return to the boatyard so they are ready for their next let. Above you can see him in the engine compartment of Fun Time 2.

ImageWhen you arrive at the boatyard your first stop will be to come to Reception. Here you will be greeted by myself (Lucy) or another reception staff member. We will go through your boating manual with you and fit you into your lifejackets. You will also be shown to your cruiser.

Outside our reception you can see our green trolleys. These are provided for you to help unload from your car to your hired cruiser.

This is the car park you will initially park in when you arrive at DRL Marine. You will be able to unload your car from here using the green trolleys. You will then report back to the reception, when you have unloaded, so that you can move your car to our secure car park.

Once your car is parked away a member of staff (Mike, Stuart or Darren) will come onboard to do your handover. This will involve being taken round the interior and exterior of the boat and shown how everything works. Above is a picture of Womack Water which is where you comprehensive trial run will also take place. You will be taken out for a run on the river. Your member of staff will show you how to handle a cruiser, how to turn it around and also how to do a sideways mooring (if possible). On return to the boatyard the member of staff will demonstrate how to moor stern on. They will also be able to give you hints and suggestions on where to visit based on your own interests and requirements.

Keep a watch out on our blog for more updates!!!
